Manila: City of Stories City Rebranding

For our finals in our Fundamentals of Branding and Advertising class, we created a rebrand for Manila City. Since this place is known for its rich culture and history, we used story telling to create sophisticated visuals that will reflect Manila's elegance. 
We created a new city logo, tagline, icons, and a set of merchandise in a classy yet familiar vibe based from the city's popular landmarks. The color palette was also chosen to remain true to the Filipino culture and reflect the warm atmosphere of Manila City,
To further effectively promote and advertise Manila as one of the great cities globally, a mock mobile application was designed consisting of travel guide, articles and stories from the everyday lives of Manileños. In hopes to bring more tourists and develop the economical status of the city resulting to additional income for its inhabitants.
Our team have also created a website design, advertisement posters, wayfinders and a promotional video to strengthen the cause of our rebrand. All of these outputs were created early 2020, before the pandemic hit the Philippines.
